Emily was born and raised in central Ohio. Her interest and love for animals were strongly influenced by her father who encouraged learning, outdoor exploration and travel from a young age. Emily attended Bethany College in West Virginia with a focus on equine science and is a 2018 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She attended Options for Animals Chiropractic and The Chi Institute’s Mixed Animal Acupuncture courses during her 4th year of veterinary school. Emily has spent her last year with world-renowned Traditional Chinese Veterinarian, Dr. Xie at the University of Florida’s Equine Acupuncture Center expanding her acupuncture and herbal medicine knowledge. Emily is very thrilled to bring her eastern medical training to Circle L animal hospital. She believes integrating eastern and western medicine provides the most comprehensive and holistic care for her patients. Emily is an avid outdoor adventurer and fitness lover. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, weight lifting, and horseback riding. She recently adopted her dog and new hiking partner, Delilah. Additionally, she enjoys the company of her two black cats, Itty and Kevin.
